Vocational and Educational Services for Individuals with Disabilities The NYS Office of Vocational and Educational Services for Individuals with Disabilities (VESID) provides a full range of vocational rehabilitation services to individuals with physical, cognitive, and emotional disabilities to enable them to achieve economic self-sufficiency and maximize their capacity to live independently. VESID also assists employers in hiring individuals with disabilities by providing prescreening of applicants, job skills assessment, matching of skills to job requirements, training services, and job coaching. Technical assistance is available to help employers fulfill the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act and save money through various employer incentive programs.
