About a dozen law firms are based in the County, along with 46 independent practitioners. Several law and accounting firms from the Capital District keep offices in Columbia County. The County also has half a dozen advertising and public relations agencies and a similar number of engineering and financial consulting firms.
Columbia County has nearly fifty country farm markets and orchards, many of them specializing in organic produce.
