12/03/13During FY 2013, Amtrak’s state-supported corridor services grew to a new record of 15.4 million passengers. In addition, all long distance routes combined had the best ridership in 20 years with 4.8 million passengers. Ridership for all Northeast Corridor services reached 11.4 million passengers, the second best year ever. As evidence of a strong ridership rebound following Super Storm Sandy, the Northeast Regional service set a new record. More.
12/02/13On their tour of the small businesses on the Main Street of Chatham, Congressman Chris Gibson, his wife Mary Jo Gibson and Assemblyman Steve McLaughlin stopped in to see the progress at Chatham Brewing, which is undergoing an expansion. Proprietor Jake Cunningham showed them around, gave them some small samples and talked with them about the rewards and difficulties involved in growing from what was virtually a hobby to a significant component of Chatham economy.
